Above 2000...and just a warmup!

And finally comes winterrrr...equipped with all its weapons - wind, cold, ice and snow! And to many's surprise - those are exactly our weapons of choice:) Ana and I took it half serious and half for fun, as we went to say hello to Viševnik (2050m), one of the most accessible 2000 meter mountains in the winter. Weather conditions were rather peculiar - snow, wind, fog and sun - all at the same time. We met a couple "old school" alpinists that were giving us the looks, "KIDS, where's your axes and crampons!?" We didn't mind too much, as the conditions were not that extreme, except for the fact that each two steps that we made upward, we slipped one down! When we came down to Pokjuka we also went to cheer for our girls' biathlon team, that was competing. Even though we drank a lot of cooked wine and cheered like crazy, our girls ended fifth. Well not so bad, to be honest. Ana, we need to drink more wine next time;) So, it was a great day in the mountains, but now its time to enjoy the fireplace.. and gather the energy for the upcoming winter. They say that it's going to be a deadly one:)
