The sunny side of Storžič!

Yesterday Leon, Damjan and I decided to visit Storžič (2132m), an attractive mountain that was cut-off from the Kamniške Alps by river Kokra. There are countless mountains higher, however Storžič with its 360 degree views, is one of the pearls of the Slovenian Alps. It can be a pleasant walk in the summer and fall, while it can really show its teeth in the winter. Damjan, decided that he needs a little more challenge and so he partied all night and joined us in the morning - sleepless of course. His courage was soon put to the test, after about an hour of walking! Leon and I had to take it really slowly, while he enjoyed a short nap on the grass about 1800m high:) We reached the top around 10 o'clock in the morning.. and beauty it was. Leon was so satisfied with the trip, that he decided to put a stamp of Storžič on his chest (picture below). Damjan retired form exterm mountaineering and decided to sleep a little next time. And for the end, a few stats: Ascent time: 120 minutes Altitude: 1412 meters Average Hr: 147 BPM
