In the middle of March, the coast began to seduce us with good weather and dry rock. One Saturday was perfect for some rock climbing - with our alpinistic division group. It was my first time in Črni Kal and I quickly found out this place is not a joke. Endless vertical rock bathing in the sun just waiting for us to attack it. Keber and I climbed around six or seven routes and were ready to call it a day when big rocks started falling from the sky. Some rocks were as big as basketballs and they were falling straight onto a group of climbers next to me. I was sure people are going to get seriously hurt. It seemed like it was the end of the world and after the thunder stopped everything was quite for a moment. We rushed to the scene and found out that a rock crushed one climber's leg. Everybody else was ok. We later heard that some Check tourist was walking on top of the rock wall, exploring an old castle ruin, when he triggered the falling rocks. Typical! You Can see the castle wall in one of the pictures. Although it was quite a serious situation.. we still had a great climbing day! Also check out the view from the top of the rock!
