Exploring Monte Rosa!

In early July I was invited to join a shorter expedition to the Monte Rosa mountain range in Switzerland. Marjan, an experienced Slovenian mountain guide, took Ana, her father and me on two 4-thousand peaks - Allalinhorn and Weissmies (both 4027m). There were summer conditions in the valley and nothing else but snow, cold and winter on the top. Ana and I learned a lot about crossing glaciers and had tons of fun in between. Unfortunately glaciers are disappearing each year and there's a big question if any of them will last for another few decades. After seeing the ferry-tale village of Zermatt, Matterhorn and some other beauties we set back to Slovenia - back to the summer heat:)
