Exploring around Logarska

Logarska dolina, which cuts deeply into the Kamniške alps, is probably the most beautiful glacier valley in Slovenia. It's covered with snow until late spring, while it stays refreshingly green throughout the entire summer. The surrounding mountains were the most popular playground for Dadi; and now he rests at the very heart of the valley.

When I finally had a free weekend, I called-up the lads and Artac (like always) confirmed without any hesitation. On Saturday evening we ascended to Klemenča jama (1208m), where we enjoyed a few beers and slept over the night. The next morning we explored Ojstrica (2350m) and Lučka baba (2244m), where we also checked the possibility of ski descents in the winter. We returned through a very remote valley, Dadi's favorite, which ends at Melišče pod Planjavo. I have also tested my new GPS watch - a sophisticated technological tool, but most of all, a nice toy for grown-up boys.
