Last year I have signed-up in the "working class heroes" club and since pension is a long way to go, I decided it was time to start making some early-morning ski trips. My co-worker Aleš quickly agreed to join on the plan while Artač was also ready for action (he is always ready:). We woke in the middle of the night and attacked Begunjščica from Smokuška planina (west). Artač was pushing the tempo and for him.. it's simply never enough. We reached the early-morning sun on the very top and enjoyed a marvelous moment of victory. After about half an hour of heaven, Aleš and I remembered that work is waiting for us.. and after a few nice turns, we were back in the valley. The usual problem with late spring skiing is that the snow gets too soft during the day, but hard to believe, this time it was actually still too hard and frozen. So just a reminder for next year, the sunny side of Vrtača would probably be a better choice in such special "before-work" conditions. We took a quick shower at work and smiled for the rest of the day:)
